Story
It is common for people affected by cancer to feel quite isolated and alone, finding it difficult to express their thoughts and feelings, especially to those that are close to them.
In addition to the many services that Macmillan provide, they run a psychology therapy service for patients living with cancer or receiving palliative care. This service is free and for patients living at home or staying in hospital.
As somebody that has lost family members, friends and patients to cancer, I have seen first-hand how important this service is. That is why I was honoured to have been selected to run the Great North Run with the Hillingdon Macmillan team.
The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs. So please donate!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving, once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
