Right, I've gone and signed up for a 24-hour bike ride. No backing out now.

I'm joining Team Gear Grinders for the Crudwell Le Mans 24-hour bike ride — a community endurance event where teams lap a course through the night to raise money and (let's be honest) see who can still clip in after hour 18.

Cycling is my thing, so I have absolutely no excuse not to give this everything. Expect me to be annoyingly enthusiastic at the start and quietly determined somewhere around 6am.

All money raised goes to two brilliant causes:

🚴 Crudwell Village Hall & Recreation Ground — the heart of a great community, getting some well-earned investment

🚤 SARA Sharpness Lifeboat Station — the Severn Area Rescue Association, whose volunteers are out on the water saving lives whenever the call comes in. They receive 80% of everything our team raises.

Your donation — however big or small — will be split between them automatically through JustGiving, with Gift Aid on top if you're a UK taxpayer.
