As many of you know, I am prone to undertake swimming events and challenges, sometimes reaching the outer edges of my sanity!!. This year I have finally managed to convince Conny to join in; after years of marriage I guess some of my insanity has rubbed off on her!!

On June 21st at 7:00 PM, together with a few others that make up the Jesus Green Gliders, will take turns to jump into the iconic , 100 year old, 100 yards long Jesus Green Lido, and swim in 1, 2 or maybe even 3-hour stints, until 7:00 AM the next day. In between rotations we will lie back and watch the stars...or shelter from the rain under the umbrellas.

For this event we am raising money for Level Water, a charity that helps kids with learning disabilities access water and learn to swim.

Swimming is like nothing else. The skills you develop, the confidence you build and the joys you feel are all universal. Yet access to swimming in the UK is not.

At Level Water, we use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities.

Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
