FEAR (Face Everything And Rise) are organising a holiday to Disneyland Paris, in December, for families whose lives are impacted by artificial nutrition...

When a child, or adult, receives their nutrition through a tube (enterally) or line (intravenously), their world looks very different. A large proportion of their day is spent connected to a feeding pump and they inevitably spend a lot of time in and out of Hospital. Not forgetting the psychological, physical and social impact it also has!

Holidays are a challenge in themselves, and for a lot of families, it seems an impossible task... But FEAR aims to change this by taking a number of families to Disneyland Paris this Christmas 🎄... Most of whom have NEVER been on holiday before!

On December the 27th, we will all be taking the ferry from Dover to Calais. We will then be driving to CenterParcs, where we will be staying for three nights. We will spend two days at Disneyland Paris, and the last day in the pool at Centerparcs. We will then drive home on the 30th.

Bizarrely, this December also marks 9 years since I was first discharged from hospital on full time TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition). I've since spent the last 9 years on TPN and continue to be on TPN 7 days a week (15 hours a night).

To mark my 9 year 'TPN anniversary', I have set myself a big challenge in order to make this Holiday to Disneyland a magical experience. The more I raise, the more families we can help to join this once in a lifetime trip! ⭐️

So far we have 10 families booked to come, with many more hoping to join us 🤩

FEAR has promised to pay for every family's ferry ticket and for every 'FEAR child's/adult's' 2-day Disney ticket (A 'FEAR child/adult' is the individual who receives artificial nutrition via a tube or line). Any additional money that I raise will then go towards each families additional costs.

... So, the challenge is ...

During the month of October, I will be cycling a total of 240 miles, which is the distance from Dover to Disneyland Paris 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇫🇷

This will be a huge challenge for me as I'll be juggling the cycle alongside running FEAR, working and managing my TPN. I have no doubt I will struggle at times, but I cannot think of a better reason to raise money, than to be able to take a number of FEAR families to Disneyland Paris at Christmas time 🎄

How amazing will it be to see families look up at the Disney castle knowing that I, with your help, made that happen 💙
