Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Neurodivergency affects people of all ages in a lot of ways and I want to help them.
I’m spinning tunes for a year it what I call DJ52. I’ll have to release a new MIX once a week for 52 weeks and not repeat a song. These will be uploaded to MIXCLOUD each week as I hope to raise awareness about the lives people living with Neurodivergency.
I’ve chosen PACT for Autism, a local charity for me, which helps the lives of Neurodivergent people in South Essex. I have no idea how much I’m going to raise. It could be £100, it could be £1000+ but as I spin tunes for PACT, spreading love, joy, unity, togetherness & the community spirit - hopefully you’ll lend me your ears and reach into your pocket and help Neurodivergent People of South Essex. I know they'd be grateful for any donations.
So get ready to groove each week as GENERAL PATTEN spins tunes for a year in DJ52 for PACT for Autism throughout 2026

Groove to the RHYTHM of LIFE
During my life, one constant has been music. I was find comfort in that. At 12 I discovered pirate radios stations playing around London (one of the best things about London in the 1990s) playing Hardcore & Jungle. My sisters would bring back mix-tapes from holidays to the Canary Islands which introduced me to house which made me a vinyl collector & DJ in training from day one.
I Was diagnosed at the young age of 8 with dyslexia. Follow up assessments took place at 13, 15, 17 & 19 during my life in eduction. The last one, was at the Institute of Dyslexia in Bangor in 1999 when attending Uni. My "score" put me at a reading & writing age of 14 & 15. Somewhere along the way dyslexia got grouped in as neurodivergent.
In 2026, I’m going to be spinning tunes for a year in something I call DJ52 for PACT for Autism.
So to recap…..I’m going to produce each week
• 60mi DJ Set once per week for a year
• I can’t repeat a song in any DJ Set
