Story
It all started on a Friday evening in the pub…
After a few pints, Dan and Kyle casually mentioned that running the London Marathon was on our bucket list. By Monday morning, John Hardy, with his ties to charity, had our places reserved with no turning back. Since then Dom (John's son) has also decided to join us on our journey, joining up for his second marathon, completing his first many years before.
We’re running to raise money for Blind Veterans UK, a charity doing incredible work to support veterans who have lost their sight. They help these men and women rebuild their confidence, learn new skills, and live independent lives with pride.
Our motivation? The memory of Sidney, the loyal guide dog and best friend of John Hardy. Sidney gave John freedom, independence, and companionship every day—and reminded us how powerful the right support can be.
Now, we want to honour Sidney’s legacy by helping provide that same life-changing support to blind veterans across the country.
Please support us in this journey—whether with a donation, a share, or just a cheer from the side-lines. Every step we take is for those who’ve already given so much.
Thank you!
