The David Lloyd Clubs Together Foundation has a single mission: to change lives through the power of movement. Every child has the right to move, grow and be the best version of themselves. But not every child has the same opportunities to be active. Too many children miss out on the benefits movement can bring. Right now, fewer than half of children in England are active enough and children in lower-income communities are disproportionately missing out. This challenge extends beyond the UK: according to the World Health Organization (WHO), 81% of adolescents globally aged 11–17 do not meet the recommended guideline of at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity each day.

Through the David Lloyd Clubs Together Foundation, we will help underrepresented children access physical activity, swimming and sport, building confidence, developing life skills and inspiring a lifelong love of movement through our Move Together and Swim Together programmes, delivered in communities near and in our Clubs.

Children don’t need a reason to move. They just need the opportunity. That's why the David Lloyd Clubs Together Foundation is working to create more opportunities for children through fitness and wellbeing.
