My Reason-

No woman or girl should have to face the horrors of domestic abuse. I am taking part in this 5K to help make a difference to those who are survivors or ongoing victims of abuse and to support an amazing charity that puts the safety of womankind first and foremost.

The Charity-

LDAS was developed to meet the needs of women and girls impacted by domestic abuse. Our purpose is to support, advocate and help our survivors shape and improve responses to violence against women and girls.

The impact of abuse is often carried over a lifetime if support is not accessed or provided and the trauma can impact many aspects of life. We offer emotional and practical support, counselling, group programmes and a confidence and employment service. This all supports our survivors move onto the next phase of their life.
