Row/Cycle 80km (& walking 80k steps!) · 6 September 2023

Defence Medical Welfare Service is an independent charity providing medical welfare to those who have, and continue to, operate on the frontline. We provide much-needed additional support for anyone undergoing treatment for a health-related issue. Our goal is to remove the environmental, economic, and social obstacles that stand in the way of recovery. This can speed up discharge from hospital, help patients recover more quickly, and reduce the likelihood of readmission or the need for onward referral. Our free service is for anyone who has committed their lives to serve their community and country, including Armed Forces personnel, reservists, veterans and their families, police officers, and other frontline services.

Story

Thank you for visiting this page. I currently work for DMWS and am hugely proud of the work that we carry out to support members of the frontline (past and present).

Please take a look at our website to find out more about the charity:

www.dmws.org.uk

This year marks 80 years of support and many people have come together to carry out various different events; ultra marathons, 150 mile walks & cycles etc.

On Wednesday 6th September members of 24 Commando Royal Engineer Regiment will be cycling and rowing 80km in support and to help raise funds. We will be at Tesco in Braunton, North Devon between 11am and 4pm should anyone like to find out more about the charity and support the guys and gals.

In addition, myself and friends are walking 80k steps on Saturday 9th September.

Please use this link if you would like to help us to continue to provide support. Every little helps!

Thank you!
