HMS OARDACIOUS - The DNE 24 Hour Rowing Challenge 2026

CDN Office is raising money for Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

24 Hour Charity Row · 15 September 2026

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principle charity of the Royal Navy. Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity's purpose, it is our duty to remain focused on their needs. Since 2007, we have funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. We also distribute millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

Story

Following the success of 2025 where the DNE raised over £23,000 for the RNRMC the Row is back for 2026. In 2025 we doubled the number of rowers to over 700, raised more money than ever and rowed even further.

Starting in 2023 with two teams rowing in Whitehall to raise money for the HMS OARDACIOUS fund of the RNRMC and celebrate the formation of the Defence Nuclear Enterprise, the row has grown year on year to incorporate industry partner, more sites across the MOD and international allies in the US.

Rowing from 1200 on 15 Sep to 1200 on 16 Sep the DNE will once again come together to strengthen bonds and continue in the collaborate spirit of the Enterprise to raise money for a great cause. Whether you have never sat on a rower before or competed at the Olympics all individuals are welcome to participate across our multitude of sites.

The DNE is proud to continue its partnership with HMS OARDACIOUS – Submariner Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, which supports Submariners and their families as they navigate the challenges of the Submarine Deployment Cycle.

In recognition of this partnership, the money raised in this year’s challenge will once again be split between the HMS OARDACIOUS - Submariner Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund (75%) and other RNRMC Mental Health and Wellbeing Projects (25%) that support the wider Royal Navy.
