My JustGiving Story: Riding for Doddie’s Legacy
I’m proud to be part of the Edinburgh Dawn Patrol, an inclusive cycling community that embraces anyone who loves early morning rides and a good cup of coffee. We come together three times a week to enjoy the thrill of cycling while building friendships and supporting one another.
In March 2026, I’ll be riding in the Doddie Aid Triple Crown Challenge, where our team will cover 800 miles across four nations in just four days. We ride not only for fitness and friendship but to raise awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in honor of Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir. His courage inspires us as we take on this challenge.
🚴 The Route:
- Day 1: Melrose → Leeds
- Day 2: Leeds → Gloucester
- Day 3: Gloucester → Fishguard (overnight ferry to Ireland)
- Day 4: Rosslare → Dublin
We’ll arrive in Dublin just in time for Scotland’s match against Ireland—exhausted but united by our mission to make a difference.
Every mile we ride is a tribute to Doddie’s legacy, showcasing the power of cycling to forge connections and support a cause that truly matters. Thank you for considering a contribution to my JustGiving page and for supporting our team challenge!
