In June 2026, Richard Howard the owner of Doddington Nurseries and his daughter Tia will be setting off on an adventure to Africa, to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. They are taking part to raise money for this amazing charity Greenfingers and to support the work that they do. we will be documenting there progress and raising money in-store and via just giving. We are holding events like craft fairs, fun days, tombolas and raffles to support the climb and there journey to the summit.

Conquering Kilimanjaro is no small feat. The journey to the summit takes 7 days, with nothing but a tent between you and the wilds of Africa. An elevation of 5,895m pushes bodies to the limit, with an overnight trek on summit day taking you to views that reach for hundreds of miles. It’s no wonder this challenge is often described as life changing.

Richard and Tia will be joining a group of 16 already confirmed to be taking part, lets support them in there journey and try and raise a great amount of money for this amazing charity. Thank you for reading our page and supporting us from all at Doddington Nurseries.
