Story
Not all battles take place on the Dodgeball Court. Thousands of people across the UK living with liver disease and our very own Katie Howard is one of those.
Katie has a liver disease call Primary Schlerosing Cholngitis (PSC) and went into Liver failure a matter of weeks before the 2024 World Dodgeball Championships, and is currently on the transplant wait list. Of course, whilst Katie gets the treatment and support she needs, she has not yet returned to the court, and will miss the 2025 European Dodgeball Championships in Limerick - the whole of Dodgeball Cymru will miss having her around and spreading the positivity.
The British Liver Trust and Children’s Liver Disease Foundation are here for everyone, providing vital support, education, and hope to individuals and families affected by liver conditions.
By taking on the epic 874-mile Land’s End to John O’Groats virtual challenge, Dodgeball Cymru is helping to raise awareness and vital funds to ensure that no one has to face liver disease alone. The squad will be clocking up steps on our lunch breaks, spinning through the miles at the gym, and even dancing in our kitchens — every move makes a difference.
Together, one step at a time, we can go the distance for liver health.
