Dodgems and Floss cycle for Stroke Association

Tony Georgiades is raising money for Stroke Association

London to Brighton Cycle Ride 2026 · 13 September 2026 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Every day, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. And, one day, that person was Katie, the Marketing Director at Dodgems and Floss. Please join with us to help more people with the often devastating impacts of a stroke, so that they can move forward with their lives, careers and loved ones, just as our Katie has.

Here's what she had to say:

I have had three strokes a few years ago, with the first being the most severe. It effected my speech mostly, and the feeling in my arm and hand. It was one of the most frightening experiences of my life.

My lovely neighbours found me, and them acting FAST is one of the main reasons I am where I am today - living life!

My recovery took time and included months of speech therapy, counselling, and a huge amount of support from my family, friends, and the legends at Canterbury Hospital, and the Stroke Association. I will always be so so grateful to them all.

The Stroke Association does amazing work for stroke survivors and their families, and every donation helps. A big thank you to my lovely friends at Dodgems and Floss for taking on this challenge, and for supporting such an important cause. You guys are the best!

Katie xx
