Story
Every year, our amazing darts Run Club get involved in the Doncaster 10K to raise funds for darts (Doncaster's creative health and learning charity) - and this year our four-legged supporters wanted to help out too!
Our staff team and their dogs will be taking part in the Dawdle for darts, where we will collectively walk 10K to raise funds to continue the programmes that enhance life, learning and health for people across Doncaster.
Our team will be led by Project Manager Mabel and her human Sophie. Mabel looks after projects in our Creative Learning programme and her favourite part of her job is visiting sessions to see how our artists are working with children and young people to support them in dreaming big, feeling confident and raising their voices. Mabel is an anxious rescue who finds the world quite scary, so she is looking forward to lots of quiet countryside walks to complete the 10K.
Our staff see the difference that creative activities make to our participants every day, boosting confidence, encouraging self expression and enhancing communication skills. There are lots of wonderful stories that you can read here about people's journeys with darts and the benefits they have experienced after taking part in creative sessions.
Thank you so much for supporting us! Every pound and message of encouragement is appreciated more than you know!
