Story
On Sunday 26th April, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon in honour of my Dad, raising vital funds for the Institute of Cancer Research.
Dad ran the marathon himself when he was 60! I last ran it when I was 22… which was many, many years ago. So any support to spur me on — and help my slightly dodgy knee — would be hugely appreciated.
I’m running in memory of my wonderful Dad, David Barratt, who we sadly and suddenly lost to cancer in June last year. This run is my way of honouring him and supporting the incredible work of the Institute of Cancer Research in their mission to make the discoveries that defeat cancer, and to honour the many lives lost to this disease.
If you’re able to sponsor me, I would be so grateful. Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference.
For anyone coming to London to enjoy the day, I’ll also be hosting a little after-party (assuming I make it across the finish line!) — it would be amazing to celebrate with as many supporters as possible. More details to follow.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined me and supported the Earlsfield Christmas Charity Ball by buying raffle tickets or auction prizes — it’s already given me an amazing start to my fundraising journey.
Thank you so much for your generosity, encouragement, and support — it really means the world to me and to the Institute of Cancer Research.
