Story
On June 24th I will attempt to cycle the length of the country in 10 days starting at Lands End and finishing at John O'Groats in Scotland.
I'll be cycling in memory of my grandma Rita Edwards and to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. I also want to do this trip because my dad has done it in reverse with his brother on a tandem bike back in 1988, which is unbelievably inspiring. On top of that, I cycled the length of France in 2023 and it is therefore only right that I also cycle the UK.
I will be carrying all my belongings on my bike, doing a mixture of camping with a tent and slightly more luxurious B&Bs to break up the trip. My dad will also be joining me half way (hopefully to block any wind...), which I am very excited for!
Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
