Story
Throughout June I will be running 100 miles (a minimum of 5km each day) to raise money for the Sick Children’s Trust, a charity that provides accommodation for families with sick children in hospital. l have now added the Round Sheffield Run, a 20km trail run, to this challenge on the 29th of June as well.
Back in January, Flynn was born with a severe complication in his bowel requiring him to have immediate surgery and an 8 day stay in the neonatal surgical unit at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Magnolia house, accommodation provided free of charge by the Sick Children’s Trust, became our home away from home allowing us to be by his side throughout his entire stay.
We’ll forever be grateful to the Sick Children’s Trust for what they gave us and would love to repay them in whatever way we can for what they did for us as a family.
I will be taking part in the Home to Home challenge to raise awareness of the incredible work they do and hopefully help more families like us moving forward.
I am aiming for £20 per mile (£2000 in total) so if you are in a position to donate I would be incredibly grateful, thank you!
