Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m taking part in the TCS 2025 London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support!
My dad, Harry, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in October 2019. For those not aware Parkinson's disease is a progressive brain condition that causes movement problems, mental health issues, and a range of other health challenges. In fact, Parkinson’s UK list over 40 different symptoms of the disease. There is no current cure for Parkinson’s disease.
Over the last 5 years since diagnosis my Dad’s health issues have increased which has been sad to see but also it is often difficult to know what to do with such a disease which gets worse over time. One of the shining lights of support for my family has been the Parkinson’s UK charity. Their support has been incredibly helpful in understanding symptoms, treatments and options available to my dad and us as a family.
In order to support this amazing organisation and their great work I’m going to flog myself across the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon and would really appreciate any fundraising support!
Thanks,
Dom
