As an international rescue, all of our dogs come across the English Channel to start their new lives with their amazing families.

Whether they come all the way by road or some of the way by air, they all take the ferry from Calais to Dover.

If we had to walk it in a straight line it would be about 25 miles.

So, this September we asking our supporters, whether they have a Happy Paws dog or not, to join us to raise funds for our charity by "walking the channel" and keeping fit at the same time!

You can walk the 25 miles in a weekend, a week or a month, whichever suits you. We would love you to join us.

It is £10 to Register.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Download your Registration and Sponsorship Form from the Happy Paws website: https://happypawspuppyrescue.co.uk/happy-paws-walk

2. Pay the Registration Fee of £10 here and return the Registration Form to us at happypaws@walkthechannel.co.uk

3. Once you have Registered and paid, you can then begin to get your sponsors using the Sponsorship Form provided or by setting up your own Happy Paws Just Giving page.

You can ask your family and friends to sponsor the whole 25 miles or pledge an amount per mile. Whichever they would prefer.

Over the month of September start walking for Happy Paws - remember, you can walk the 25 miles over a weekend, a week or a month.

Don't forget to track your miles.

4. When you have reached your 25 miles, collect your sponsorship money and then donate it to Happy Paws on here (or via your own Just Giving page).

5. Once you've sent your sponsorship money please email happypaws@walkthechannel.co.uk to let us know and we will send you a huge thank you and your Certificate of Completion.
