Dear Family and Friends,

As you may know, I have been fighting ovarian cancer for the past three years. It is a terrifying diagnosis no woman wants to hear. Mostly diagnosed in advanced stages due to challenges in detection, ovarian cancer can be difficult to treat and has high rates of recurrence which makes the fight against it all the more challenging.

During these difficult times, two extraordinary Consultants in charge of my treatment and care have given my children and me an incredible amount of time and emotional support. They have truly gone over and above and we are enormously grateful to them.

My dearest wish now is to help them in their quest to save more lives and the best way I can do that is to raise money for a cancer charity which they are both deeply involved with as trustees. The Lady Garden Foundation (charity no. 1154755) works tirelessly to raise funds not only for scientific research and treatment projects but also to improve the diagnostic timing and accuracy of female gynaecological cancers.

And so, my friends, I turn to you to help me make a difference.
