Story
I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the "Take On The Tower Superhero Abseil" on 9 August 2025, at the Belfast City Hospital Tower. This personal challenge is not just about conquering my fears; it is a heartfelt mission to raise funds for the Friends of the Cancer Centre. Their incredible work focuses on four key areas: patient care, patient comfort, research, and cancer awareness. Over the past year alone, this charity has invested more than £1.13 million into local cancer services, making a life-saving and life-changing impact on countless individuals and families.
Your support can truly make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Just think about how your contributions can help: £10 could provide tea and coffee for 43 people attending the hospital for treatment; £25 could fund one hour of support from a Friends of the Cancer Centre specialty nurse; £50 could pay for two patients to receive complementary therapy sessions to help manage treatment side effects; and an incredible £200 could assist a patient financially through their grant programme.
I invite you to join me in this important cause. Together, we can ensure that vital support services continue to reach patients and their families across Northern Ireland. Please consider donating towards my target of £1000 as I take on this challenge for those who need it most.
