I will be taking part in the London Marathon on 21 April 2024. This is not my first marathon, but it is my first in 10 years and I have learned that training for a marathon in your 40's is a very different affair to training in your 30's! Nevertheless, I hope to run, walk, hobble or possibly crawl my way around London for this worthy cause.

This is my first time fund-raising for the Irish Cancer Society. In the past 2 years, an inordinate number of my close friends and family have been diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, one of my oldest friends succumbed to cancer a little under a year ago, after fighting with incredible bravery for a number of years.

I expect everyone reading this page has been affected by cancer at some point in their lives and hope that all will make a donation, to help others fighting this awful scourge.
