Story
My father in law Jim Cattanach was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2017. After a career in banking & finance, he had been enjoying a well earned retirement with golf, holidays away and lots of family time. There came a time when Jim knew something wasn’t right and a short while later, the doctors gave the diagnosis. He is still trooping on, but it’s clear the impact it is having to him and to all the family and friends he loves. The Dementia Resource Centre in King Street Aberdeen offers activities, support & bonding for sufferers and family members alike. Jim has particularly enjoyed the art classes & live music. Your support to my fundraiser will help Alzheimer’s Scotland continue to support these centres and maybe one day find a cure for this cruel illness.
