Carloway FC fundraiser for Alzheimer Scotland

Donald MacLennan is raising money for Alzheimer Scotland

Fancy dress walk · 29 August 2026

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

On Saturday 29th August, the Carloway FC players, friends and supporters will be swapping their football boots for walking shoes as we take on a 17-mile trek from Carloway to Stornoway via the Pentland Road! 🥾⚽️

We’re hoping to raise as much as we can, with half of the funds going towards Alzheimer Scotland and the other half towards Carloway FC.

Everyone is welcome to join us! It’ll be a long walk, with plenty of laughs, a few tired legs and hopefully plenty of good memories along the way! 💪🥾

Any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated and will help us support two great causes.
