Story

Hello my name is Donata but you may know me as Dona, Tina ,TeeTee or Donatina !

I simply love running and although I only started 9 years ago at the age of 48 I have ran 1000's of miles raising £1000's for charities close to my heart, whilst competing in some of the famous races in the world including the London Marathon and the Great North Run.

Now aged 57 I have chosen this year to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Charity with two people at the forefront of my fundraising efforts ,and will be running the Royal Parks half marathon in London.

Ian Clarke age 60 has been a life long friend of mine and my family.Last year he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.Fortunately he had it successfully removed following surgery. Ian has tackled and fought this disease with such resilience and bravery, a truly inspirational man.

Peter Lovell fondly remembered as 'Bubble' however I never had the pleasure of meeting. He was a childhood and life long friend of a close friend of mine.He was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February this year but after a very brief, aggressive illness he sadly passed away just two weeks later. Such a devastating loss of such a vibrant personality, a man who was loved and respected by so many.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.

We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
