Story
Life is precious but taken for granted until illness strikes. Our amazing friend Melissa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in January this year. Following a successful lumpectomy, she is now undergoing chemotherapy to reduce the risk of it returning.
During this difficult time, the team at the Magnolia Centre at York District Hospital have been a wonderful support to Melissa and her family. To say thank you, myself and a great group of friends will be cycling the Coast to Coast Way of the Roses from Morecombe to Bridlington in August.
It's our biggest personal challenge to date with over 170 miles up hill and down dale but will be worth it if we can raise some money for this great local charity.
Please support us in our ride and if nothing else it will be worth paying to see us mamils push our boundaries (middle aged men in lycra). The full route can be seen at http://wayoftheroses.info/route/
We will be taking a slight detour to Elvington on the Sunday lunchtime and meeting at the Grey horse for a quick refreshment before continuing on to Bridlington, so please come and cheer us on and fill our charity buckets. Supporters along the way will also be welcome
Thanks
