Story
My gorgeous friend, Hannah was diagnosed with a Grade IV Glioblastoma in October 2020. Since then she has battled this tumour with brain surgery, radiotherapy and ongoing cycles of chemotherapy. She is an amazing woman and an ambassador for Brain Tumour Research and is determined to raise awareness about this awful disease, for which there is currently no cure. Hannah wants to change this. She wants people diagnosed with a brain tumour to have the very best care, more treatment options, a better prognosis, a future! This can only happen with more funding and better awareness of the impact this disease has on so many young lives.
Hannah has now had to retire early due to ill health from her role as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in our NHS. She has to tolerate a gruelling chemotherapy treatment regime every month to keep the tumour at bay. As you can imagine, Hannah has good days, bad days and down right terrible days but I don't think I have met anyone with so much resilience and determination, she's an inspiration to us all.
I will be joining Hannah in a new and daring challenge that will put us to the test!! On 30th June I will be walking over hot coals to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research.
Please consider supporting me in this amazing challenge to help us get closer to a vision of a cure for all types of brain tumours. Any contribution, no matter how small will be gratefully received.
Donna
