For Cameron — Our Brightest Light, Forever Loved, Forever Missed
This page is for my beautiful son, Cameron Craig — my boy with the unforgettable smile, the warmest heart, and a spirit that shone so brightly it changed every life it touched. On the 8th of March, my world shattered when Cameron passed away suddenly, leaving a space that can never be filled. On the 6th of September, he should have been celebrating his 27th birthday. Instead, we will gather to honour him, to speak his name, to remember his joy, and to hold close the love he gave so freely.
Cameron lived with autism, a learning disability, and epilepsy — but those were only tiny pieces of a much bigger, braver story. He was gentle, funny, stubborn in the best ways, and wonderfully unique. He was different, but never, ever less. He taught us how to love without fear, how to celebrate the small things, and how to find light even on the hardest days.
The Sporting Aces were Cameron’s safe place — the one space where he felt understood, accepted, and truly himself. They gave him friendship, confidence, pride, and joy. They gave him a home. And since losing Cameron, they have continued to support me and his brother Jakson with the same kindness, strength, and love they showed him. They have been a second family, holding us up through heartbreak and helping Jakson carry Cameron’s legacy forward.
Why I’m Raising Funds
On Cameron’s birthday, his friends at The Sporting Aces will come together for a special Remembrance Day — filled with games, laughter, medals, cakes, and all the things he adored. It will be a day of joy, celebration, and love, honouring the incredible person he was.
I am raising £500.00 so The Sporting Aces can continue their amazing work supporting adults with additional needs. This club gave Cameron belonging, confidence, happiness, and safety — and they continue to give that same support to so many others.
Every donation helps keep Cameron’s light shining in the lives of others — a legacy of kindness, joy, and acceptance that will never fade.
Please donate if you can, and help keep this special support going for the people and families who need it most.
The Sporting Aces is about supporting individuals to develop healthier lifestyles through participating in multi sports activities, to increase their sense of mental well being through fun, social events and to ensure that everyone feels they are part of the community and their voice is heard. There is a yearly programme, indoors can be basketball, walking netball to name a few. Outdoors can be a walking group, tennis and more. With the coaches experience everyone is supported with games adapted at grass roots level. Our motto - Let's Do This!
