Story
Last October, my slightly unhinged teammates Graeme, Sarah and I took on the Manchester Half Marathon - and we smashed it. It was one of the proudest moments of my life. Despite hobbling around and negotiating stairs like an elderly tortoise, I couldn't resist signing up again this for year. Apparently, I'm a glutton for punishment.
Since then, I've been pondering which charity to run for. At one point, I seriously considered doing it for chorophobic crocodiles or TikTok-addicted aardvarks. Sadly, those animals will have to hang tight a little longer. As then came through the news that Sarah had been diagnosed with breast cancer. She's facing it head on with fierce grit and resilience - like one badass motherclucker.
This year, I'm running to support Macmillan Cancer Support, who are helping Sarah during this part of her journey. Any donations will go a long way in supporting their work - not just for Sarah, but for the many others who rely on them now and in the future.
Meanwhile, my other amazing teammate Debs is on a totally bonkers, awe-inspiring mission: running a 10K every single day for 365 days, all to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. She'll be joining me in Manchester too! You can support her running madness on her fundraising page -

Any sponsorship whether for Macmillan or Breast Cancer Now will be genuinely appreciated.
Thank you for reading this and for your support.
