We are raising £2,000 for The Autumn Project and the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Specifically with the aim to purchase a cuddle bed for the end of life care for patients to say goodbye with dignity to their beloved pets. For some, a pet is as close if not closer than some family members, and it helps both the patient and the pet to say goodbye. A hospital bed is not the place to do this, and these beds are just the ticket.

We tried to get my mums dog to see her just before she passed away, but he didn't engage with her because she was on the hospital bed. We feel sure that he may have laid down beside her if she was on one of these beds. (Maybe not, but you only get one shot at it, and we missed this one!)

'We' have decided to raise funds towards the purchase of a Cuddle Bed so that others can benefit, by throwing ourselves off the side of a mountain and zip lining over a disused quarry on the 11th April, 2026. Please help us to reach our goal!
