Donna's London Marathon fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
I’m never comfortable calling myself a runner but somehow, here I am, training for the April 2025 London Marathon!
My goal is to raise £2,300 for Parkinson’s UK after my lovely Dad was diagnosed with the progressive neurological condition earlier this year. Dad is 65 and has always been strong and active, so symptoms such as tremors and unsteadiness are upsetting and frustrating. Advanced symptoms can be more complex.
Around 153,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK and it's the fastest growing neurological condition in the world.
Parkinson’s UK focuses on funding research into the most promising treatments, and fighting for fair treatment and better services for those with the condition.
I'm taking on the London Marathon to raise money for this fantastic cause and to push my own physical limits. Your support will fuel my journey and help me achieve my goal of crossing that finish line. Every penny of sponsorship counts, and hopefully I can make my Dad proud.
With thanks for all your support,
Donna xxx
