⛰️Back and at it again ⛰️

This time bigger and more challenging so I am going to need your support and encouragement even more.

1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. I was one of them. Most breast cancers are found in women who are 50 or older. I was not yet 40. A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 minutes and a man every day. Breast cancer is all inclusive and does not discriminate; it can affect all ages, genders, races. Early detection is key to better and more effective treatments and higher survival rates.

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity. I am trekking with CoppaFeel! in the Isle of Skye to raise much needed funds and awareness. CoppaFeel!’s mission is to educate young people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer so they can notice something that is not their normal and are empowered to contact their GP.

I did not. I was scared. I ignored my lump for two weeks and in that two weeks I felt it grow. This scared me more. Eventually I sought help and although my cancer was aggressive, it was caught early enough and my treatment was successful.
