🐾 40K Steps at 40

On 26th August, I'll be celebrating my 40th birthday. Rather than marking the occasion in the usual way, I've decided to take on a challenge that's very fitting for a dog walker - walking 40,000 steps in one day.

On Saturday 5th September, I'll be walking approximately 18 miles (7 loops) around Albrighton to raise money for Hilbrae Rescue Kennels.

As the owner of Lil Canine Crew, a dog walking and pet care business based in Albrighton, I spend every day caring for dogs. It felt only right to use this milestone as an opportunity to give something back to dogs in our local area.

Hilbrae Rescue Kennels has been rescuing and rehoming stray and unwanted dogs for over 20 years. They care for each dog until a new home can be found, giving them the opportunity for a fresh start.

To make the day even more special, I'll also be handing out 40 treat bags to dogs I meet along the route - a small way of celebrating with the local dog community while supporting a great cause.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the incredible work they do and make a real difference to the dogs in their care.
