Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In memory of my amazing mum, Donna, I’ll be taking on one of the UK’s most iconic long-distance challenges – the Coast to Coast Walk.
The coast to coast walk is no stroll in the park stretching approximately 190 miles, starting at St Bees on the Cumbrian coast and finishing at Robin Hoods Bay on the North Sea in North Yorkshire. The route takes 10-12 days to complete and passes three National Parks. I know as I complete each gruelling day, my Mum will be with me every step encouraging me as she always has in my past adventures.
Together with my good friend Gary, We’ll be backpacking and wild camping as we make our way across the country, carrying everything we need and taking on every mile, whatever the weather. It will be a huge physical and mental challenge, but one that means more to me than I can put into words.
We’re raising money for Breast Mates CIC, an incredible charity that supports people affected by breast cancer by providing a compassionate community where no one has to face their journey alone. The support, friendship, and understanding they offer make a real difference to so many people and their families. Breast Mates became a registered charity in February 2017 offering support and information to people with breast cancer in Knowsley and the surrounding districts. Breast Mates are a non-medical self-help group run by volunteers. My Mum found huge support and encouragement from attending sessions held by Breast Mates since being diagnosed with inoperable secondary breast cancer. Mum sadly lost her battle in December 2025 and so in her loving memory I am taking on this challenge to continue to provide support to those who supported her. This walk is my way of honouring my mum’s memory. Every step we take will be for Donna. remembering her strength, the love she gave, and the lasting impact she had on everyone who knew her.
There will undoubtedly be sore feet, aching shoulders, challenging terrain, and a few wet nights under canvas, but knowing we’re raising money for such an important cause will keep us going all the way to the finish.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, we’d be incredibly grateful. Every contribution will help Breast Mates CIC continue supporting people and families affected by breast cancer.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and encouragement. If you can’t donate, simply sharing our fundraiser would mean the world to us.
This adventure is for you, Mum. Every mile. Every step. 💜
