I am running The London Marathon 2025 for Ronald McDonald House Charities UK on the 27th April 2025 🏃🏻‍♀️

This amazing charity provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families like mine, with children having treatment in hospital.

Ronald McDonald House in Southampton was our home for 2 weeks whilst Oliver was in Hospital having Open Heart Surgery in April/May 2023. We were able to be at Oliver’s bedside in a matter of minutes as it is located on the Hospital Grounds. We had somewhere to cook proper meals, wash and dry our clothes and had a comfortable bed to sleep in at night.

We also stayed here for the first 6 weeks of Oliver’s life in 2015 when he needed 3 Heart Operations. Oliver was born with a Congenital Heart Defect which we discovered when I was 18 weeks pregnant.

I would like to run for this charity as it means so much to us. We have spent 8 weeks of our lives in this accommodation and no doubt we will need to stay here again in the future.

The charity helps over 6,000 families like mine each year. Please help me support them and give something back by donating to this worthy cause 🥹

I’d also like to add, it’s no secret I like to run.. but even for me this wont be an easy challenge. I am a busy Mum of 2, working Full Time with some Weekends and Evenings around the Children. I run around 3 times a week currently, running short distances around 3/4 miles due to time constraints. So, training for a marathon is going to take some real dedication from me and support from my amazing little Family.
