YPAS provides mental health and emotional wellbeing services for Liverpool's children, young people and families. Established in 1966; YPAS is a charity that supports children, young people and families to address their mental health and emotional well-being difficulties. The delivery of our citywide services includes: primary schools, secondary schools and across 3 community hubs. Our services and support are for young people and children aged aged 5 – 25 years old. Our Mission Our mission is to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of children, young people and families in a non-stigmatized environment, that allows us to: > Deliver a wide range of support and therapeutic interventions > Reach children, young people and families as early as possible > Consistently monitor progress and change > Work jointly with professionals across health, education and social care > Include children, young people and families in the design and delivery of services > Ensure services and pathways are accessible Our Vision YPAS is of a diverse community where children, young people and families feel: • Safe • Valued • Respected • Included • Motivated We will listen, support and empower them to achieve this by providing high quality information, advice, guidance and therapeutic services.

Story

The Liverpool Irish community are coming together for Dorchadas go Solas (Darkness to Light) join us as we take on a 5K in support of mental health, raising funds for YPAS—a charity doing incredible work for children, young people, and families across our community.

Mental health support has never been more important. Every day, young people face challenges that can feel overwhelming, and having access to the right support can make all the difference. YPAS is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where young people feel heard, valued, and empowered.

Their vision is to build a diverse community where children, young people, and families feel safe, respected, included, and motivated. Through high-quality advice, guidance, and therapeutic services, they provide vital support to those who need it most.

By taking part in this 5K, we hope to raise awareness, break down stigma, and contribute to the essential services YPAS provides. Every donation, big or small, will help make a real difference in someone’s life.
