Story

PLEASE NOTE THAT DONATIONS CAN BE GIVEN UP UNTIL 6PM ON THE 13TH JULY, AT WHICH POINT ALL MONIES WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE PLAZA CINEMA.

Our beloved Doreen, Mother and Grandmother to many heartbroken family members, bid her family and friends her final farewells in early June after a long, varied, and colourful life.

Doreen will be missed by all the people whose lives she came into contact with and will forever be remembered in our hearts.

The family have requested no flowers during this time of grievance but understand that many would like to do so.

Doreen was an avid supporter of her local, independent cinema, The Plaza Community Cinema in Crosby - a local institution founded in 1939 that relies on donations for refurbishing and maintenance. We instead invite those wishing to buy flowers for Doreen to make a JustGiving contribution to this page, which will then be donated to The Plaza Community Cinema.

It's a cause that was close to her heart and the family feel that as well as the finances being put to a much better use, it would have made our mum, our Nan, our sister, our Auntie, our incredible Doreen very happy indeed.
