Last year, Justin had started talking about organising an event in memory of Amber and to raise money for Mind. Mind is a fantastic charity that supports millions of people with their mental health to ensure that people do not feel isolated. It advocates for an improved mental health support network across the UK.

Justin’s idea was a sponsored relay marathon along the Dorset coast carrying a jar of Amber’s chutney the entire way. Amber loved to make a chutney in order to use up all the spare allotment produce and leftover jam jars she did not like to waste. Justin loved a challenge, especially one involving the Dorset coast and a bit of running in the dark!

Since Justin’s tragic death, we’d love to carry out this event in memory of both Amber and Justin, following the plan he had just begun to put together.

A group of Justin’s and Amber’s friends and relatives will complete the route from Poole Harbour to Lyme Regis — a total of about 86 miles — in 24 hours during the May Bank Holiday weekend, beginning at 4am and finishing around 10pm. We hope to make this event a success in memory of our wonderful friends and to raise money for a most important cause. Thank you for your support.
