Story

I am raising money for Cosmic.

Cosmic is the charity that supports the neonatal and paediatric intensive care units at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, London. They help patients and their families from all over the country, and enable a dedicated team of nurses and doctors to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care. Cosmic supports families through one of the most difficult times in their life. Cosmic also provides vital state of the art equipment for the units, and provides training for health professionals. They also fund a programme of research into life-threatening diseases.

Cosmic Rays 2024 is a Relay Channel Swim from Dover to Calais raising money for this Charity. There are 6 swimmers each swimming for 1 hour for as many times as it takes to get there. Swimmers can only wear a swimming costume, cap and goggles, no wet suits, gloves or boots are allowed. The swim will include swimming in the dark and encountering jellyfish and other hazards!

Update - 16th Aug 2024

A huge thank you to everybody who has donated so far. Sorry I can't send individual messages, you all deserve it and I am very grateful for every penny raised.

Training is going very well. We had the BBC and ITV crew at Ellerton Lake today taking pictures and videoing me. More to come soon.

Moonlight Swim - 17th August at Allerthorpe Lake, Pocklington to continue raising money for COSMIC. Come and meet the swimmers!!
