Story

Vernetta Clarke is taking on the challenge!

"On Friday 16th May 2025, I will be taking part in a charity abseil down the Village Hotels building in support of The Brightwell who are dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals living with chronic neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Concussion, Motor Neurone Disease, Functional Neurological Disorders, Long Covid, and Cancer, amongst many others. As someone who has loved ones battling with some of these conditions I am excited to take part in an activity that will bring some awareness to their cause. Would you help me in reaching, and exceeding my goal of raising £100 on behalf of DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre for this charity?"

Comment from the charity:

"Our mission is to provide a comprehensive range of therapies, services, information and support for anyone affected by a neurological condition such as multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia or stroke recovery.

Therapies are provided in a purpose built Centre based in North Bristol, Bradley Stoke, where we have created a friendly environment that aims to help reduce the physical, emotional and psychological effects of a life with a neurological condition.

We are less than 1% statutory funded and therefore we continuously fundraise to be here."
