Endure24 Leeds · 28 June 2025 ·

Since our re-launch in Nov 2018 we have focused on delivering programmes within Renfrewshire which fulfil our key objectives, answer the need of our communities and are aligned with the spirit of St Mirren FC’s own ‘Our Town Our Team’ ethos, putting our people first. We understand the social challenges many Renfrewshire residents face and we are committed to implement long term, sustainable positive change to help provide them with a brighter and more hopeful future. We understand the responsibility we have in our community, the important role that football plays in the lives of the people in it and the power our beloved stadium has as an engagement tool for the programmes we deliver. Developing positive and purposeful partnerships with local authorities, third sector organisations, commercial partners and fans is important to us and essential in helping us to choose the direction of our strategy going forward. Our work supports people of all ages, capabilities and backgrounds as we are entirely inclusive and fully aware, post pandemic, of the need now more than ever to help empower our people and rebuild more resilient and resourceful communities.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 28th June 2025 I will set off on my biggest running challenge yet as I attempt Endure 24 in Leeds. The aim is to complete as many miles as possible in 24 hours, completing laps of the 5 mile course.

Why would I do this you may ask, to raise money in memory of late grandfather. It's not the 1st time I've run in his memory and probably won't be the last. He is a daily inspiration to me in how to live life and a total hero to boot! A world war 2 veteran who was involved in the D-day landings, leading to him receiving The Légion d'honneur which is France's highest national order of merit. In his youth as a Scout leader he was awarded The Bronze Cross, this is awarded for acts of bravery in the face of danger where life has been at extraordinary risk. He risked his live by entering the water to save a young girl who was drowning. Most importantly he was full of positivity, always wore a smile, made me laugh more than anyone else and was devoted to helping his family. He spent many happy years in Paisley and took me to many a St.Mirren game hence the reason I'm raising money for the St.Mirren Charitable Foundation. They do amazing work in the heart of the community for all ages and backgrounds. Bringing the same positivity that I always got from my grandfather.

So if you can spare a few pounds I'd be extremely grateful and I can assure you any donations will bring a smile to someone's face 😃
