Story
Despite being terrified of heights, I have agreed to be thrown out of a plane to raise money for YMCA DownsLink Group as part of their skydiving day on 7th September.
YMCA DownsLink Group is a charity which helps children, young people, and families in Sussex and Surrey, offering a wide range of support. I'm very pleased to be able to raise money for a local charity which helps young people in Surrey (where I grew up) and Sussex (where I've spent most of my adult life).
Here's some figures on how your donations can help:
£25 could provide emergency supplies for a young person removed from an abusive home.
£50 could facilitate emergency family mediation.
£75 could help a young person get onto a young person training scheme to acquire work skills.
£125 could train new staff in spotting signs of self-harm.
£275 could provide 6 trauma support sessions for sexually exploited young people.
£500 could help fund 'Passport to Independence'- the charity's programme to help young people become independent and make their way in the world
Any donations are greatly appreciated!
