Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2023, I gave birth to my beautiful little boy, Theodore (Teddy). The pregnancy had been low risk and there were no indications of any health conditions or problems.

Three days after he was born, a doctor noticed that Teddy had some Down Syndrome characteristics. A week later his diagnosis was confirmed through genetic testing.

It didn't change how much I love Teddy but it definitely left me anxious about his future and what it might be like for him. My family and I were put into contact with the charity Positive About Down Syndrome, who have continuously supported and educated us through our journey so far.

18 months later and Teddy is thriving just like any other little boy his age. Myself and 3 friends (with thanks to our lovely driver) will be summiting all 15 of the mountains over 3000ft in Wales within the space of 24 hours. We are doing this on the 21 March 2025 (World Down Syndrome Day) to raise awareness of Down Syndrome as well as to give back to a charity that has given so much.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated :)
