Story
On 12th April 2026, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for the brilliant charity Pain Concern.
I’ve worked as a psychologist in the field of chronic pain for over 25 years, and I’ve seen first-hand how devastating and life-limiting persistent pain can be. I’ve also seen how under-resourced NHS pain services often are, leaving many people without the ongoing support, information, and understanding they desperately need.
This is where Pain Concern makes such a difference. Their resources, guidance, and commitment to accessible, compassionate support have been invaluable – not only to people living with pain, but also to professionals like me who support them. Charities like this help to fill the gaps where statutory services simply can’t.
This run is a huge personal challenge. I haven’t run this far since 2013, but I’m taking it on because this cause genuinely matters to me. Every mile will be for the people I’ve worked with, and the many more who are still struggling to be heard.
If you’re able to sponsor me, you’ll be helping to ensure that people living with chronic pain aren’t left to cope alone. Every donation, no matter the size, really does make a difference. Thank you so much for your support – it really does mean a great deal to me.
