Story
Dragon Steps for Cancer is more than just a physical challenge—it is a journey driven by love, resilience, and hope. I will be walking from Wrexham Maelor Hospital to the summit of Snowdon which is about 60 miles, this is to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care, an organisation that provides vital support to people living with cancer and their families.
This event is deeply personal. My wife Zara is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and her strength and determination have inspired me to take on this challenge. Cancer does not just affect one person—it impacts entire families, testing emotional and physical limits in ways many never expect. Through Dragon Steps for Cancer, I want to turn that struggle into something positive and meaningful.
The walk itself represents a powerful journey. Starting at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, where so many battles against cancer begin, and finishing at the summit of Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, every step will symbolise perseverance and hope. It is a reminder that even the toughest climbs can be faced with determination and support.
