Story
This year I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for The Passage. The Passage is an incredible charity next to my office whose vision is a society where street homelessness no longer exists, and everyone has a place to call home. The Passage provides practical support and a wide range of services to help transform the lives of people who are, or are at risk of, street homelessness.
In London there has been a 21% increase in rough sleepers compared with last year and 64% of people are reported to be new to the streets. The Passage has seen a 26% increase in people needing housing support.
On a daily basis I see the impacts of homelessness commuting to/from work. I believe we have a moral responsibility as a society to be kind and help others which is why I am raising money for The Passage this year.
Every gift, no matter how big or small, enables The Passage to help people who are experiencing homelessness to regain their confidence and hope for the future.
