Draw de France for the Lune Valley Greenway

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust is the charity making it possible for people to walk, wheel and cycle. Because it changes everything. Our health. Our wellbeing. Our world. We call it people-powered movement. Join us on our journey.

Story

I'm currently trying to draw a GPS picture of France... by cycling around France. If I complete this, it will be the longest piece of GPS Art ever, at over 9000 kms.

While I'm at it, I wanted to try to raise some money for a cause I'm incredibly passionate about... building a new cycleway on a disused railway where I grew up in the north of England.

More about the Lune Valley Greenway

I grew up in a village called Wray, and it was very hard to cycle to the nearest town, Lancaster, because the road is so busy. There's a disused railway right next to the road which is dying to be turned into a cycleway. My mum was involved in campaigning for this for years, but unfortunately she passed away in 2010.

I've been involved with Sustrans for the last 7 years and we've achieved a lot in that time, but the more money we can raise for the project, the more likely it is that we can get the path built, and the higher the quality of the route. Any money raised will be ring fenced to be spent specifically on the Lune Valley Greenway, and not on other Sustrans activities, and certainly not on funding any part of my trip.

Thanks so much for your donation :)
