We're Walking for Dementia 🌼

Driving Miss Daisy UK Companionship and Transportation Services is raising money for Dementia Support - Hampshire & IOW

Walk for Dementia 2025 (Hampshire & IOW) · 14 September 2025 ·

Every year hundreds of local people walk to make a difference for people living with dementia in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. You can walk with us at our Warsash Walk, join our New Milton Mini Walk, or walk your walk your way!

Story

Every day, we meet families living with dementia. We’ve sat with sons and daughters who are frightened for their mum or dad. We’ve listened to husbands and wives who feel like they’re losing the person they love piece by piece. And we’ve shared quiet car journeys with people who simply don’t want to feel alone.

That’s why we’re walking.

Driving Miss Daisy's companions are Dementia Friends, but what matters most isn’t the badge. It’s the moments. Waiting while someone takes their time to get out of the house. Singing along to the radio together. Talking about old memories that suddenly come alive again.

These are the moments worth fighting for. And that’s what this walk is about.

Every penny we raise goes straight to Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW, so they can keep helping families hold onto those moments too.

Please support us if you can. Your donation means someone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Because nobody should face dementia alone. 💛
