I will be running from Dublin to Galway with two great friends, one of them, Fintin, wanted to do something special to raise money for a charity close to his heart who have helped him since he suffered a serious head injury last year. Here’s his story in his own words:

Last April, I suffered a serious head injury while playing football and lost my sense of smell. You don’t realise how much it matters until it’s gone—taste dulls, memories lose their triggers, and everyday scents you took for granted just disappear.

Smell loss is rarely talked about, but it has a real impact. That’s why I’m taking on this tough challenge with two of my best friends—to raise money and awareness for those, like me, who’ve lost their sense of smell.
